License sales paused; no fishing license required June 2-8
Anglers may fish without a license from Tuesday, June 2, through Monday, June 8, during a pause in the DNR's license issuing system. All other fishing season regulations and bag limits will remain in effect.
License sales will resume Tueday, June 9, in the new electronic licensing system and be available for purchase online, via the new mobile app and in-person at agent locations across the state.

Note: Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will collect your social security number when you apply for a non-commercial hunting or fishing license.
Commercial licenses applications require a Federal Employer Identification number, MN Tax Identification number or Social Security Number. Commercial licenses are issued at the DNR license center.
Price does not include any additional fees charged ($1.00 agent fee).
Hunting and fishing licenses are valid from March 1 through February 28 of the following year.
