The trail offers a variety of landscapes, scenic overlooks of the river valley and beautiful hardwood forests. The wildlife ranges from grouse, opossum, rabbits and owls.
You can snowshoe anywhere in Minnesota's state parks and recreation areas, except on trails that are specifically groomed for another activity, such as skiing or snowmobiling.

From Winona, take Highway 61 south to I-90. Go west on I-90 to county road 12 north. From country road 12, follow county road 3 east to the park entrance.
