Featured Update
CO Kylan Hill (Mound) reports continued work was done on multiple ongoing big-game cases stemming from the deer season. Time was spent checking late-night anglers on Lake Minnetonka and the overwhelming consensus was that the bite is slow. Trout opener was worked on Courthouse Lake on Saturday. Hill contacted a group of six anglers, three of whom were under 16, who were fishing about an hour prior to legal start time. Furthermore, they also possessed live minnows. Citations were issued for multiple violations and 16 rainbow trout were seized. A few hours later, another group of anglers was checked, and Hill gifted them some of the fish seized from earlier. One of the anglers did not have a license and tried to slyly purchase one online to try trick Hill. Their attempt was quickly thwarted as the date and time stamp of the purchase was the exact same time of the check. In addition, they mistakenly purchased a turtle license instead of an angling license. They were cited and Hill took back the seized fish and gave them to a more honest angler.Other weekly reports
