White Earth State Forest

•This 160,000-acre forest is situated in Mahnomen, Clearwater, and Becker counties and is divided into three units: Northeast, West, and South. Most of the forest is within the boundaries of the White Earth Indian Reservation.
•Within the forest you will find both motorized and nonmotorized trails, a boat launch, primitive camping, a fishing pier, a historic site, a rest area, and WMAs to explore.
•White Earth State Forest has 65 miles of dual-purpose forest roads and 70 miles of snowmobile trails.
•Visit White Earth State Forest for the day and stay in Itasca State Park overnight, only minutes away.
OHV Riding Restrictions During Deer Hunting Season
- Use of off-highway vehicles (OHVs) on state forest OHV trails and state forest trails during firearms deer season is allowed only for deer-hunting purposes, and only within permitted times. More information
