The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites the public to review and respond to proposals for future off-highway vehicle (OHV) and grant-in-aid (GIA) trails.
- Minnesota state forest trail planning
- The DNR is considering a number of measures to improve state forest trail sustainability and enhance user experiences for both motorized and non-motorized trail users. The trail system changes will not include changing forest-wide motor vehicle use classifications.
The following proposals for OHV trails have already completed a public review period. The deadline for comments has passed.
- Chatfield Connector ATV trail proposal
- From Feb. 17 to March 18, 2026, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) received 25 public comments on an off-highway vehicle (OHV) trail proposal called the Chatfield Connector.
