Trout stocked in the Pitt Grade
On May 15, catchable-sized rainbow trout were stocked into the Pitt Grade in Lake of the Woods County. The trout were stocked at the confluence of the Pitt Grade and Peppermint Creek, and for four miles upstream of this point. The Pitt Grade is located along the Pitt Grade forest road, which begins approximately five miles south of Pitt.
Anglers need a trout stamp validation and a Minnesota fishing license to fish for trout in designated trout streams, such as the Pitt Grade. Trout stamps are not needed for children less than 18 years old or adults who are 65 and older.
