Remember your kids' joy and triumph when they first learned to bike? Love the freedom of a ride? Take that joy off-road with this first-ever I Can Mountain Bike! program for families, the newest addition to Minnesota State Parks and Trails I Can! programs.

You'll learn shifting, braking, and body position, along with the basics of safety and trail etiquette. At the end, you'll be ready to hit the trails at Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area for your own family adventure. Prior mountain biking experience isn't necessary, but you should know how to ride a bike on pavement prior to this event.

  • Use of mountain bikes and helmets. (Child sizes available.)
  • Small group sizes—you'll get the attention you need to develop your skills.
  • Trails for beginners.
  • Experienced instructors from the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew.

$25 per person.
A Minnesota state parks vehicle permit is needed to enter ($5/day or $25/year).
