Description: The campsites are considered primitive, designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. They consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. Water can be pumped by hand or by hooking your own generator (2500 watt minimum) up to the well.

Bob Dunn Horse Campground offers 13 campsites with pull-through campsites. There are also picket lines at each campsite, manure bunkers, an accessible loading ramp, and a lot of open space.

All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee.

Highlights: There are 17 miles of multi-use trails. Sand Dunes State Forest is closed to off highway vehicle (ATVs).

The tornado that hit Zimmerman on March 6th, caused a significant amount of damage to the Ann Lake Campground and Day Use Area. The Ann Lake Campground, Ann Lake Day Use Area and Bob Dunn Horse Campground are open. There are still some trails between the campground and the day use area that are impassable due to downed trees. The beach access in the campground is also still closed.
