Discover new opportunities for adventure
Are you ready to explore? Adventure awaits in Minnesota state parks and trails! Go camping, take a nature hike, pack a picnic - just grab a map and get outside!

Free park day January 19
On four days each year, all Minnesota state parks and state recreation areas offer free admission to everyone - no vehicle permits needed! The next free park day is Monday, January 19.

Enjoy the outdoors all year long!
Whether you're into candlelight walks, winter picnics, skiing, fat biking, sledding, watching winter wildlife, snowmobiling...we've got you! (Plus a guide to dressing for the weather.) Explore winter activities.

Remember to buy your ski pass
Skiers over age 16 need a Great Minnesota Ski Pass to use the 1,100 miles of groomed ski trails on public lands around the state. Fees go directly toward grooming ski trails! 1-day, 1-year and 3-year passes available.

State park library pass
Now you can literally check out state parks. At over 200 Minnesota libraries and Bookmobiles, you can check out a free seven-day state park pass through the Library Pass Program.

Don't get lost - navigate with your phone!
The free Avenza Maps® app uses GPS location tracking so you can stay found, even off the grid. Download the app and a GeoPDF map at home, and you won't need Internet or cell service once you're on the trail.
