Snapshot virtual tour
Welcome to the Scenic State Park virtual tour! In this journey you'll peek inside the rental cabin and historic lodge, check out a few of our favorite campsites and enjoy a breathtaking full moonrise over Coon Lake. We hope it prompts you to visit the park in person sometime soon.
Boardwalk SunriseLocated just below the Chase Point campground, this lakeside boardwalk has several docks for campers to fish from or park their boats.

Boat Access SunriseThis is one of two boat launches on Coon Lake. It is located next to the lakeside boardwalk and the Chase Point campground, and offers both boat and canoe rentals.

Chase PointAt the end of Chase Point, make sure you catch an awesome view of Coon and Sandwick Lakes.

Chase Point TrailThis trail is by far the most popular hike at Scenic State Park. It is an esker-like trail, and is covered in red pine and white cedar.

Swimming BeachThe swimming beach is shallow and clear, popular with both children and adults.

Picnic GroundsThe picnic grounds are next to the swimming beach, outdoor amphitheater, and Historical Lodge building.

Historical LodgeInside the Historical Lodge building you will find a large stone fireplace, as well as interpretive displays and animal mounts. This historical log building was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).

Lake of the Isles PierThis fishing pier is located at the group camp on Lake of the Isles. A small carry-in boat launch is nearby.

Canoe-In CampsiteThis is one of five canoe-in or boat-in sites. This particular canoe-in site is surrounded by red pine, and is one of the most popular of all our water access sites.

Chase Point CampsiteThis is campsite #8. It is well wooded, located in the Chase Point Campground not far from the Coon Lake overlook.

Moon RiseThis evening photo was taken at the Coon Lake overlook area. Can you find the shooting meteorite in the sky?
