Saginaw Grade/Lumberjack Multi-use Trail

The Saginaw Grade/Lumberjack Multi-use Trail is on an abandoned railroad grade from Spafford Park in Cloquet and travels north 10 miles before stopping short of the historic Saginaw area in St. Louis County. This trail is provided by Carlton County and maintained by the Twig Area Trail Riders ATV Club.

Winter Use:

Groomed trails are only open to shared use by snowmobile and ATV riders. Grants-in-aid trails that branch off are not open to ATV winter use.

Tips and hints to have a great winter ride and protect trails:

• stay off the groomed trails with wheeled vehicles if temp is above 30F to keep groomed trails in good condition.

• snow depth less than 7 inches then trail is open to OHVs as signed unless posted closed.

• Snow depth greater than 7 inches then trail packing and grooming operations begin. Let the trail set up.
