September 22-23, 2010: Southern Minnesota
There was one major flash flood of six or more inches in 24 hours in 2010 and that was the September 22-23, 2010 event over southern Minnesota. It was the largest flash flood event to hit the state since the August 18-20, 2007 flood. The National Weather Service observer in Amboy reported 10.68 inches in 24 hours and the highest two-day total from the MNGage network was 11.06 inches near Winnebago in Faribault County.
