The Pigeon River to Grand Marais portion of the Water Trail covers approximately 40 miles of Lake Superior’s Shoreline in western Cook County.

This section of Water Trail offers paddlers a glimpse of Lake Superior’s long and storied history. View the remnants of the Sawtooth Range, basaltic shoreline outcrops, and villages left from a bygone fishing era.
