The Minnesota Frog and Toad Calling Survey (MFTCS) owes it's success to it's large base of generous volunteers. 148 routes have been run in 2003, almost double the 76 routes run in 2002. 33 of the routes run this year were created by new volunteers, following North American Amphibian Monitoring Program (NAAMP) standards.
This is a summary of the frog and toad species heard throughout the state in 2003, and the location of the routes that were run.
