Hiking

23 Miles

23 miles of trail within the park offer a variety of hiking experiences from high cliffs along the Lake Superior shoreline to hikes along the Baptism River to 3 scenic waterfalls plus loops that wind around interior lakes. All are moderate to difficult trails. About 12 miles of the Superior Hiking Trail cross through the park. The Superior Hiking Trail is a moderate to difficult trail. These trails will treat you to many spectacular views of Lake Superior, inland lakes and northern hardwood forests with remnant red and white pine.

Mountain Bike

1.5 Miles

This bike trail also serves as the service road into Tettegouche Camp. Mountain bikes are allowed on ATV trails in and adjacent to the park.

Winter

Cross Country Skiing

15.5 Miles

These are moderate to difficult trails.

Skate-Skiing

4 Miles

This single, 4-mile loop trail is adjacent to the classic ski trail.

Snowmobile

12 Miles

Park trails are part of the Silver Trail Riders trail system that connects Beaver Bay, Silver Bay and Finland. Provides connection to the North Shore State Trail.

Snowshoe

Anywhere Except Groomed Trails

Snowshoers are asked to keep off groomed trails in the park.
