Park Office

Five Miles From Park Entrance

Stop here for vehicle permits, camping registration and information about the park. Horse campers, lodging, group camp and group center registration is handled at park office.

Visitor Center

St. Croix Lodge

The lodge is located in the vicinity of the campgrounds. The building is a historic log and stone building that includes flush toilets available year-round and a public shelter area with fireplace and seating for indoor programs. Building overlooks the St. Croix River.

Naturalist Programs


Summer naturalist programs include activities for all ages. Our major interpretive themes include the habitats and wildlife of the park and cultural heritage of Dakota and Ojibwe peoples, fur traders, loggers, settlers and New Deal era work programs. Join the naturalists for hikes, paddles, bike rides, crafts, nature carts and traditional ranger talks. Groups may request interpretive programs by calling 320-384-6615 x254.

Historic Site

St. Croix State Park is listed as a National Historic Landmark.

Gift Shop


The Nature Store is open middle of May to end of September. Check with the park for days and hours.
Canoe rental and shuttle service is provided by a private vendor from May to end of September. Please call 320-384-0508 for days and hours.
