Seasonal Update

Water: Water is available at the Trail Center and near the Group Camp sites year round.

Drinking Water: Water in the picnic area of the park is off for the season. Water is available year-round at the group camp parking area and Trail Center.

Bathroom Facilities: Flush toilets available year-round at the Trail Center.

Showers: No showers available in this park.

 

Campgrounds: Backpack sites available year-round. Reservations recommended for weekends and holidays during the regular camping season.

Electric Sites: No electric sites in this park.

Special Notes for RV Campers: All sites are backpack only - we have no drive in sites at Lake Maria State Park.

Trail Notes: Several trails have been impacted by high-water. The north section of the Big Woods Loop near BP4 is impassable due to a washout. The trail leading north out of the Picnic area near Little Mary Lake has water flowing over a section of trail, your feet will get wet. Fourteen miles of hiking trail through wooded, rolling terrain. Six miles of horseback riding trail. Horseback riding trails open May 1 to November 1. Over six miles of groomed classic ski trails in the winter. Winter hikers and snowshoers are asked to stay off of groomed ski trails trail during the ski season.

Season Rentals: Canoe and Kayak rentals are available Friday - Saturday and Sunday starting Memorial Day weekend. Contact the park office for more information.

Naturalist Programs and Park Tours: Programs available year-round.
