Seasonal Update

Water: Water is available at the park office year round.

Drinking Water: Drinking water will be turned off for the season at the picnic area, campground, and RV dump station starting October 3rd

Bathroom Facilities: Flush toilets in the campground closed for the season starting October 3rd

Showers: Campground showers are closed for the season starting October 3rd

Dump Station: The RV dump station is closed for the season starting October 3rd


Campgrounds: Both the camper cabin and campgrounds are available April 1 - October 31.

Electric Sites: Eleven electric sites with 20 and 30 amp service are available.

Special Notes for RV Campers: When making a reservation keep in mind that our campsite pads are long but the turning radius to get into them is tight.


Contact Notes:

The park's office hours vary seasonally. Current hours are intermittent and variable.

Our staff have other duties that sometimes take them outside the office, so please leave a message if no one is available when you call – we will call you back.


Trail Notes:

Summer trails: There are 17 miles of hiking trails, with .1 mile wheelchair accessible. There are also nearly two miles of self-guided trail.

Winter trails: There are 13 miles of ungroomed ski trail and 4 miles of snowmobile trails (snowmobile parking is available at designated site at the Banning Junction restaurant) and 1/2 mile of winter hiking trails. Snowshoeing is permitted anywhere in the park.

Naturalist Programs and Park Tours: Occasional naturalist programs are offered during the summer. Inquire at the park office.
