Where to go: Begin at the trailhead on the south east side of the parking area at the public water access.
What you'll see: The trail starts in a prairie dotted with sumac and cedars. As you travel on the trail you will enter a picturesque oak forest where mushrooms, woodland plants and wildlife abound. The trail ends in a tall grass prairie that becomes a beautiful brown and red in fall.
Also of interest: The entire recreation area is open to Archery Deer Hunting during the regular Archery Season. There is a geocache located within the Recreation Area. There is a fishing pier and Water Access facilities on Greenleaf Lake at the parking area.Last updated: October 1, 2014
